Fix your heart on me
For I do give you all
The sun at night
The moon by day
Unexpected sorrow
Sudden joy
All these to me belong
Kiy Anjali
Fix your heart on me
For I do give you all
The sun at night
The moon by day
Unexpected sorrow
Sudden joy
All these to me belong
At ninety three she paints the decks white
In her silken nightdress
Plucks a star from the black sky
And calls it hers
Ah lover of clear skies
Paint your strokes both far and wide
And freely

On this dark and silent morning
My poet friend Marita
Left her worn out body
Hallowed by a new moon
The angel of words
Came to greet her
And an opera of voices
Sang praise
Under a canopy of love
A call to the beloved
A rain of withheld tears of joy
The pulse of earth and sky
Such pungent sweetness
Never lost

In the darkest corner of a moonlit room
Lies the greatest secret
Rainbow painted hands
Steadfast at a window pane
Stealth to the one
Who knows the way
This is a time of masking the known
The buried bones forgotten
We seek for one another
A glance of recognition
Our faces of eternity
Untouched

This turning earth
Feels the wound
We note the unbearable
Look to the back of the moon for solace
Fill our hearts to overflowing
Beauty remains
Calls us ever closer

As skies darken
Water knows no bounds
Still mountains far away
And empty coffins float
Tears fall
So deeply
I had a heavenly father once
Knew all the answers, right from wrong
I waited daily for his smile
My mind grew big with hope
So small this child
Sits on a stone step
Waiting
