In the darkest corner of a moonlit room
Lies the greatest secret
Rainbow painted hands
Steadfast at a window pane
Stealth to the one
Who knows the way

In the darkest corner of a moonlit room
Lies the greatest secret
Rainbow painted hands
Steadfast at a window pane
Stealth to the one
Who knows the way
This is a time of masking the known
The buried bones forgotten
We seek for one another
A glance of recognition
Our faces of eternity
Untouched

This turning earth
Feels the wound
We note the unbearable
Look to the back of the moon for solace
Fill our hearts to overflowing
Beauty remains
Calls us ever closer

As skies darken
Water knows no bounds
Still mountains far away
And empty coffins float
Tears fall
So deeply
Within the shining seed
An inaudible heartbeat
A hundred dark and moonless nights
Leafless in the soil
Rains come
Still the walls enclose
The worm turns
Breathes
Now the great green shoot!
These numbered days
Like coins
Stacking and falling
And yet we speak of more
Tread upon tread
A still eye watches over us
Unseen
A million stars have come my way
And the wind on my back soothes where it touches
I cannot speak of delight
For it comes to me unformed
And I lie within its breast

I had a heavenly father once
Knew all the answers, right from wrong
I waited daily for his smile
My mind grew big with hope
So small this child
Sits on a stone step
Waiting
